Dr Santhanamohan is currently the Head of Health Section, at Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP), Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur & Putrajaya. He completed his Medical Degree in University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2009. He started his housemanship in Hospital Sultan Abdul Halim (HSAH), Sungai Petani, in 2010, and continued in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL), in 2012. He started his career in Occupational Health when he joined as a Medical Officer in the Occupational Health Unit, HKL. He was then transferred to DOSH Johor in 2013 and subsequently in 2017, to DOSH WPKL & Putrajaya. He has acquired his Occupational Health Doctor (OHD) by Licentiate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (LFOM) Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI). He is a Certified Medical Impairment Assessor (CMIA) by NIOSH / PERKESO and an authorized Entrant and Standby Person for Confined Space by JKKP and an International Diving Medical Officer (IDMO) by Institute of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine (IUHM). He is an Aviation Medical Officer by Institut Perubatan Penerbangan (IPP TUDM) . In DOSH, he carries out his role as an Enforcement Medical Officer, to enforce the Factory & Machinery Act 1967 and Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. He also facilitates in conducting Health Talks, Seminars, Dialogue Sessions and Walk-Through Survey (WTS) to identify hazards and gives prevention recommendations to employees, employers, and occupational health practitioners at various workplaces.
